Guided by the mission of cultivating versatile design talent, the School actively aligns itself with national strategies for industrial transformation and upgrading. It has developed a wide range of extracurricular practice platforms that complement academic training. Through a dynamic “second classroom” model, the School offers practice-based teaching activities both online and offline, each closely integrated with students’ professional studies.
Offline, the School has established student associations such as the Eco-Construction Society, Photography Club, and Rubik’s Cube Club, while also launching signature events including the Creative Festival and the “Traditional Culture on Campus” series. These activities not only enrich campus life but also serve as powerful platforms for fostering creativity and practical ability. Online, the School leverages its official WeChat account “Huali Yishe”, featuring sections such as learning, creativity, Yiyuan shop, which make full use of new media to create innovative spaces for student development.
To strengthen hands-on training, the School has also established four specialized bases: the USRP Innovation Experimental Base, the Shanghai Creative Industry Talent Training Base, the Teaching-Research Interaction Base, and the National Animation and Gaming Industry Revitalization Base. In addition, each student is provided with dedicated classrooms, studios, and high-performance computer labs, ensuring strong support for both academic and creative pursuits.
