Dr. MIAO Ruomu is a Lecturer in the Digital Media Art program at the School of Art Design and Media, East China University of Science and Technology. Dr. MIAO received Ph.D. in Literature (Journalism and Communication) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2024.
Dr. MIAO is a member of the China Writers Association, the China Film Literature Society, and the China Natural Resources Writers Association. MIAO has also served as a mentor for the Pioneer Action Young Directors Incubation Camp at the Chongqing Pioneer Art Film Festival. Dr. Miao has written and produced more than 30 television dramas, films, and literary works, many of which have gained widespread popularity. MIAO’s representative works have received prestigious honors including the China TV Drama Flying Apsaras Award, a nomination for the Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Award, and recognition as an Innovative and Excellent Program by the National Radio and Television Administration.
Dr. MIAO’s research interests include digital visual storytelling, audiovisual communication, and media management. MIAO has published more than 10 academic papers, with several appearing in leading SSCI Q1/Q2 journals. In addition, Dr. MIAO has presented six papers at top international communication conferences such as NCA, BEA, and IAMCR, receiving multiple international paper awards.
