Dr. Liu Zixiao holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and completed postdoctoral research in Sociology. Liu is currently a Lecturer at the School of Art Design and Media, East China University of Science and Technology. Liu also serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Global Laozi Research Center of East China Normal University. Dr. Liu has been honored with the Chenguang Scholar Award from Shanghai Municipality and is a member of the Chinese Anthropological and Ethnological Society. Dr. Liu’s research interests focus on media culture, the digital content industry, and the international communication of Chinese culture.
Dr. Liu has developed and delivered a range of courses including Digital Video Creativity I, Market Research, Media and Culture, and Intelligent Hardware and Sensors. Dr. Liu’s curriculum design emphasizes the integration of visual communication theory, digital media production, and cultural narrative expression, equipping students with both technical skills and critical perspectives.
Dr. Liu scholarly achievements have been recognized with multiple honors, including the New Center Cup for Online Literature and Art Criticism and the Academic Paper Award at the 18th China Creative Design Competition for Digital Arts.
