Junqin HE, born in Shanghai in 1976, holds a Master’s degree in DNSEP from ENSAPC (École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy) and a Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA). HE currently serves as Deputy Director, Lecturer, Master’s Supervisor, and Head of the Digital Graphics and Imaging Laboratory at the Cross-Media Intelligent Design Research Center, School of Art Design and Media, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST).

HE is recognized nationally as an undergraduate thesis (design) review expert for the Ministry of Education, an expert judge for the Ministry of Education National Art Competition, and an examiner for the unified entrance examinations in art and design across Shanghai’s universities. HE is also a professional member of the SIA Shenzhen Illustration Association, a member of the Shanghai Sino-Foreign Cultural and Art Exchange Association, and a member of the Jiusan Society.

Academic and creative work spans modern and contemporary art and cross-media integrated art, covering digital media, visual communication, photography and imaging, interaction, oil painting and illustration, as well as interdisciplinary projects. HE’s contributions in art practice, teaching, educational reform, exhibitions, publications, and patents reflect wide-ranging expertise. HE and students have received more than 100 awards at international, national, provincial, and corporate levels for outstanding achievements in art and design.
