Biography

Wang Zhong, a native of Anqing, Anhui Province, holds a Ph.D. in History. He earned bachelors degree in History from Anhui University and masters degree in Philology and Ancient Text Collation under Professor Zhang Shunhui at Central China Normal University. He later received his doctorate from the School of Sociology at Soochow University.

He is currently a Professor in the Department of Media, School of Art Design and Media, East China University of Science and Technology, a Research Fellow at the Taiwan Research Institute, and a graduate supervisor. He serves as an expert reviewer for National Social Science Fund art projects, a designated reviewer for Chinese Agricultural History (CSSCI journal), and sits on the boards of the Chinese Agricultural History Society and the Shanghai Taiwan Research Association. He is also a member of the Suzhou Arts and Crafts Society.
