Dr. Wen Quanping received his doctorate from Tongji University and is currently Deputy Director of the Department of Art and Design, Director of the Environment Design Research Center, Director of the Environment Design Teaching and Research Office, Associate Professor, and Master’s Supervisor at East China University of Science and Technology.

He also serves as an expert member of the Shanghai Ecological and Landscape Planning Professional Committee, an evaluator for international planning and design bidding projects in Shanghai, and a graduate thesis reviewer for the Ministry of Education. Beyond academia, he is Chief Designer of Shanghai Chengye Creative Design Co., Ltd., Dean of the Shanghai New Space Huayi Innovation Design Research Institute, a key member of the Shanghai Design Class IV Peak Discipline Innovation Environment and Urban Renewal Research Team, and a nationally registered urban and rural planner.

Dr. Wen has published one monograph, coauthored one textbook, and authored over 30 papers. He has led and completed more than 300 planning and design projects. His achievements include selection in ECUST’s Young Talent Introduction and Cultivation Plan (2015), second prize in the Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award (2010) for research on green space systems in megacities, and second prize in the Excellent Paper Award of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture (2009). From 2018 to 2019, he directed the Overall Plan for the Development of the Forest Health and Wellness Industry in Shanxi Province.
