The Model Making Laboratory serves as a premier training base for cultivating model-making skills among students in Industrial Design and Art Design. It provides strong support for the production of product prototypes, architectural and environmental models, public art projects, graduation theses, and competition entries.

 

The Laboratory offers a diverse range of experimental courses, including woodworking, plastic modeling, architectural modeling, CIS design experiments, and exhibition design, along with other design-oriented and comprehensive projects. It undertakes the practical teaching tasks of core courses such as Modeling and Shaping, Design Materials and Processing Technology, Modern Art Craft, Product Improvement Design, Product Development Design, and Architectural Design.

 

To ensure high-quality outcomes, the Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a full suite of woodworking model processing equipment from FESTOOL (Germany), precision model-making tools from PROXXON (Germany), multifunctional combination machines from UNIMAT (Austria), and advanced miniature machine tools from SHERLINE (USA).
