The Basic Ergonomics Laboratory

The Basic Ergonomics Laboratory provides an advanced environment for experiments in human physiology and cognitive psychology. It supports courses and research in visual psychology, morphometrics, usability testing, and human-computer interaction, serving primarily students in Industrial Design, Product Design, and Visual Design. It is also the principal platform for the core course Ergonomics, while supporting university-wide electives and elective courses for the second major.

 

The Laboratory is furnished with a wide array of specialized instruments, including depth perception devices, color visual field meters, auditory experiment systems, time perception testers, attention concentration analyzers, learning transfer testers, memory and spatial span testers, action judgment instruments, multiple reaction time testers, and speed perception devicescomprising dozens of professional psychological and ergonomic tools.
