In response to the trend of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across eras, we integrate multidisciplinary design resources and related specialties. Adopting an interdisciplinary research model that combines cutting-edge international design concepts and resources, our approach spans from conceptual positioning to visual system construction and spatial environment creation. By incorporating new interactive systems and technological applications, we leverage innovative service design thinking to holistically integrate design strategy management, product design and branding strategies, visual design and spatial planning, interaction design and information networks, public service and design innovation. This comprehensive integration establishes organic connections between these disciplines, proposing forward-looking systemic innovation concepts and professional, all-dimensional service design optimization solutions.

The institute has formed five research sectors:

New Urban Integration and System Design: Exploring concepts and models for new urban development, from cultural and historical perspectives to the branding and landscape planning of modern smart cities. Research emphasizes integrated design strategies that balance international positioning with distinctive Chinese characteristics.

Environmental Space Integration and System Design: Promoting industrial development through cross-disciplinary innovation, integrating expertise from diverse fields to address environmental space and landscape design.

Brand Integration and System Design: Conducting research at the macro level on brand positioning and design, integrating brand strategy, visual identity, environmental branding, new media interaction, creative brand communication, and resource management.

Interactive Integration and System Design: Applying principles of interaction to unify multiple design disciplines, highlighting a people-oriented and service-centered design philosophy. This research systematically examines the integration of vision, space, and product use, as well as the broader development of interactive design disciplines.

Design Competitions, Practical Innovation, and System Incubation: Using research projects and real-world topics to drive design competitions, organizing outstanding student teams to participate in national and international competitions. By leveraging key projects, the institute fosters innovation incubation and provides project-based support and mentorship for student entrepreneurial teams.
