On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, teachers and students from the School of Art, Design and Media of East China University of Science and Technology, relying on the Spring Seedling Education Assistance Seven-Color Dream Plan teaching support project, recently went to the revolutionary old area of Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. Carrying the national flag that was once raised in Tiananmen Square as a gift from the school (hereinafter referred to as the Tiananmen Flag), organize and carry out patriotic practical education activities. More than a hundred local teachers and students, along with those from East China University of Science and Technology, jointly received spiritual cleansing on the red land, using the national flag as a bond to carry forward the revolutionary spirit and pass on the sentiment of family and country.
The event kicked off with a solemn flag-raising ceremony. Six students from East China University of Science and Technology formed a guard team, holding the national flag from Tiananmen Square and marching into the venue with resounding steps. The bright red national flag shines brightly in the sunlight, and every step forward seems to be telling the magnificent journey of the Chinese nation from the war-torn years to the peaceful and prosperous era. The teachers and students on the scene held their breath and concentrated, greeting this sacred moment with a solemn salute.
Wang Shan, the Party Secretary of the School of Art, Design and Media at East China University of Science and Technology, introduced to the students the origin of this national flag and the historical background of the establishment of East China University of Science and Technology. She encouraged the students to take the national flag as a guide, study hard, integrate their small selves into the greater good, grow together, build the motherland together, and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
In his speech, the principal of Shanxi School reviewed the revolutionary history of Shangrao area and expressed gratitude to the teachers and students of Huaili for bringing the walking ideological and political class into the campus of the old revolutionary base area.
